The Visible Artist: Juniper Sikora, a multidisciplinary, experimental ARTIST>

Hello!

I’m juniper Sikora, and this is not just a blog but my diary/digest and a soft lit doorway to what’s happening in my world.

A close-up of Juniper's hands carefully shaping translucent bioplastic, capturing the intricate details and texture of the material. The bioplastic glows softly under the natural light, hinting at its role in my upcoming series, "The Pearl Within"
Shaping bioplastic here for my innovative art series ‘The Pearl Within’, blending sustainability, texture, and creativity in a single frame.

You might have noticed in the title that I am a multidisciplinary, experimental artist; I’m also a storyteller, sensory sculptor, and systems disruptor living and creating on the Gold Coast, Queensland (Australia).

My artwork, work and life merges memory, science, AI, bioplastics, trauma recovery (more on that at a later date), and radical softness into immersive, tactile experiences.

Juniper and a creative friend sitting together at an exhibition on one of Juniper's past pieces, a vibrant soft sculpture from 2018. The piece, shaped like a whimsical blue fish, showcases Juniper's playful and tactile approach to art.
Here I am with my friend, Wendela (not her real name, but what I affectionately call her) with my 2018 soft sculpture ‘Le Bleu Fish’.

I create not to decorate the world — but to decode it, heal it, and reimagine it through texture, frequency, scent, and TRUTH (bombs).

Art that whispers truth

This space, The Visible Artist, is where I lay it all bare — the art, the story, the survival, the tech, the mothering, the rebuilding, the mess, and the beauty.

Close-up image of multiple iridescent oyster shells, glistening with natural hues of pearl, pink, and silver, washed and arranged for use in innovative art, science, and AI projects, symbolising the fusion of nature and technology.
“Shimmering like whispers from the sea” — iridescent oyster shells, a sustainable nod.

WHAT THIS BLOG IS ABOUT

It’s a living archive of how I’ve turned softness (why this is seen as a weakness, I’ll never understand) into a weapon – and how you can too.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Behind-the-scenes of my art installations (like The Oyster Series, FACE-DREAMS, Tender Grit)
  • Sensory rituals (because they help my focus), soft-tech practices, and creative recovery tools
  • AI Ethicism
  • Discussions
  • Deep dives into healing, visibility, and being a neuro-emotional creator
  • Honest dispatches from. a woman building a life and body of work from the inside out
  • Notes on beauty (in general, not industry), softness, resilience, and money — without the fluff
  • My journey of making sensory-led, trauma-informed art not just seen, but felt — globally, professionally, and personally.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This is for the ones who feel too much, make too much, and still feel like they’re not enough (you are!) It’s for the artists rebuilding. The mothers rewilding. The visionaries reimagining.

You don’t need to be like me. You just need to be ready to see yourself in the mirror of this work — raw, radiant, and absolutely visible.

WHY NOW?

Because hiding helped me survive. But now I’m here to thrive — and bring anyone else who’s been silenced, sidelined, or stretched thin…back into their power.

It’s time.

Handcrafted cactus-inspired soft sculptures designed by me juniper Sikora worn by the Sydney Dance Company. Costume design organic forms and tactile surfaces.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

Inspiration. Tools. Sensory rituals. Tips. Creative strategy. AI/Science and Technology tips.

Deep honesty.

Art that holds you. Language that lights you up.

And permission to take up space — softly and fully.
